Problem Statement
The old design laboratory was to be completely redesigned. An attractive concept should be developed to support the laboratory in its basic tasks.
Idea and Concept
After an extensive analysis and the formulation of the mission, vision and motto, the first usage scenarios incl. spatial concept were worked out.
Implementation
Initially, the focus was on developing the concepts for the future division of the laboratory. It was important to visualize the high degree of flexibility and the inspiring atmosphere that is intended to bring together students from various semesters in the laboratory. Some variations were created as 3D models for a better spatial idea. In addition, suitable furniture, hardware, software and other products have been summarized, which are needed for the implementation of the room concepts. Finally, a control system was designed, which could be transferred in the future to the entire department. In the control system, the areas of design and computer science were creatively linked.
